FFA provides students interested in agricultural, natural resource, and food science technology the opportunity to intra-curricularly expand on what they learn in the classroom. Our students refine their skills in communication, agricultural education, leadership development, and community service-based learning.

The GO WILD student committee consists of students in grades 9 – 12 who want to work to encourage positive behavior within the school.  Students will be guided by the staff GO WILD committee in creating a broad range of activities used to promote the meaning behind our W.I.L.D model.   These activities and events are designed to achieve academic and behavior outcomes while preventing problem behavior.

Link Crew is a high school orientation and transition program that welcomes ninth graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year of high school. It is designed to ease students’ transition from middle school to high school in a fun and supportive way. 

Junior and senior leaders are trained to act as positive role models and mentors who guide incoming students to discover what it takes to be successful in high school.

Do you love math? Are you great at it? Test your math skills against other kids from all over the state and country!

Individual events usually consist of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and pre-calculus topics, respectively. The team event is a mix of all four. Students can compete all the way to a state competition.

Seussical the Musical

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

One Act is a competitive, fine arts activity within MSHSL.  A play is chosen by the director (coach), and rehearsals lead up to several performances; some competitive, some for entertainment for our community.  Up to 20 students participate in either acting on stage or behind the scenes in the technical aspects of the show.

Speech is a competitive individual activity where students choose a type of public speaking, ranging from performing literature to persuasive speaking to writing impromptu speeches, and complete with their piece throughout our three-month season.
